The Cloud, not just a regular cloud in the sky but a virtual CLOUD (Software). This cloud is referred to as an online storage of information shared via a network connection whether it be for a company or simply for personal use.
Information can be stored, distributed and accessible throughout multiple devices, once implemented properly and can be managed and maintained by a third party.
Benefits of Cloud Storage
It’s a very cost efficient route for businesses as well as for home owners. Instead of the deleting old files to make space for new ones, or even purchasing multiple physical storage devices for e.g. hard drives, flash drives or even discs. Cloud storage can be used to upload information and organize them into different file folders for easy access.
Cloud storage ON THE GO. It’s accessible on any device anywhere in the world once internet access is available. There’s no need to use the original device that was used to upload said information.
For a business, cloud storage can be an ideal route, as the CEO can give access to private company files (security measure) to an individual or a group of employees depending on the nature of a project or even based on their status in the work place.
